UNM Stadium Venue Policies

AAA SERVICE
The Automobile Association of America (AAA) is available to assist fans who experience car trouble upon departing the stadium. AAA can provide jump starts, lockout services and tire changes. Service begins 30 minutes before the end of the game and extends one hour after the game is over. Individuals in need of assistance should call 1-800-AAA-HELP or 291-6600.

 

BAG POLICY/SECURITY

  • Bags of reasonable size (as determined by event staff) will be allowed into the stadium, however, all bags, including purses, will be subject to search upon entrance to the stadium.
  • There will be specific gates at every entrance to accommodate bag checks.  
  • Fans who bring their own stadium seats will be required to enter through one of the bag check gates. If the seat is larger than 11" x 18", fans will be asked to return those seats to their automobiles. UNM does provide rental of the appropriate size seat inside the stadium for $5 a game.
  • No outside food or drinks - including bottled water - may be brought into the stadium. Fans will be asked to finish, dispose of, or return items to their vehicle. Exceptions will be made for the needs of babies/small children/elderly and fans with medical conditions.
  • Stadium security is located on the concourse level at the north end of the stadium. Security may be contacted by dialing 925-5506.

    BANNERS/SIGNS
    Banners and signs are allowed inside University Stadium provided they are of reasonable size (as determined by event staff) and contain no advertising or offensive language. Signs cannot obstruct the view of other patrons during the game or they will be confiscated.

    CAMERAS
    Still frame and video cameras are permitted inside the stadium.

    CONCESSIONS
    There are five concession stands inside the stadium, one in each corner and one on the north end concourse.

    ELEVATORS
    There are two elevators on the west side of University Stadium.

    FIELD ADMITTANCE
    Only team personnel, media and credentialed event management staff are authorized to be on the field before, during or after the game. Anyone going onto the field without proper authorization is subject to expulsion from the stadium and could face prosecution. This also applies to anyone throwing objects onto the field or in the stands.

    FIRST AID
    Emergency assistance is available on the concourse level at the north end of the stadium or by dialing 925-5506.

    LANGUAGE/SPORTSMANSHIP
    Any person using foul or abusive language could be asked to leave the stadium.

    LOST AND FOUND
    Lost and found is located on the concourse level at the north end of the stadium during games and can be contacted by dialing 925-5506. During the week call the University Police at 277-2241.

    LOST CHILDREN
    Parents and/or guardians with a lost child should contact the nearest law enforcement officer or event staff member. Lost children will be taken to the police command post at the north end of the stadium.

    PARKING
    There are more than 4,000 parking spaces surrounding University Stadium, including 117 handicapped spaces. Mobility-impaired parking spaces are located on the west side of the stadium.

    PROHIBITED ITEMS
    The following items will not be allowed into the Stadium.

  • food, water or beverages of any kind
  • cans
  • bottles
  • alcohol
  • baby seats
  • balloons
  • beach balls
  • coolers
  • explosives
  • fireworks
  • folding chairs
  • illegal drugs
  • laser pointers
  • artificial noisemaker such as horns, drums, bells, whistles, etc. per Mountain West Conference rules
  • pets (except service animals assisting those with disabilities)
  • weapons of any kind
  • signs
  • any other item that in the judgement of game management staff poses a safety hazard or detracts from the ability of others to enjoy the event. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to ejection from the stadium and/or arrest.
