Experimental Theatre “X”

The X – Experimental Theatre is a 40′ x 60′ “black box” flexible space with a 19′ high tension wire grid and a 12′ high catwalk gallery on three sides. The theatre can seat 100 + depending on the configuration.

Similar to Rodey Theatre The X, provides cutting-edge performance and opportunities for exploration and collaborations across disciplines. It is fully equipped with professional lighting and sound equipment to provide performers and audiences with the best artistic and creative environment possible.

Directions

The Center for the Arts is located directly north of the UNM Bookstore (one block north of Central) at Cornell and Redondo Drive.

From the I-40, I-25 Interchange, go south on I-25. Get off at Martin Luther King Blvd./Central Avenue Exit #224. Continue south to Central Avenue. Turn east (left) on Central Avenue. Take Central to the Yale Blvd. entrance onto the University Campus. Turn north (left) on Yale. Turn east (right) on Redondo Dr. The Center for the Arts will be on the left or north side of Redondo Dr., one block east of Yale Blvd., and directly across the street, to the north, from the UNM Bookstore.
